'Summertime'

 

​This is a large triptych inspired by the work of Joan Mitchell, abstract expressionist from the New York School of painters, famous in the 1950's onwards.

 

​Contrast of colour and the feeling of warmth and sunshine is my goal here.

 

The painting spans an area of approximately 2.5 metres wide x 1.4 metres high with it's frames and spacing.
